Imagine
help...
Write dialogue with the help
and guidance of your most favorite author... now mentor!
Voltaire, William Shakespeare, Harold Robbins, Stephen
King, Danielle Steele, J.K.Rowlings, Napolean Hill, Dan
Kennedy, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, etc. Pick
your
favorite...
Write out all your most burning questions and then the
imagined answers from your mentor.
What questions do you have? Direction? Plot? Arguments and
proof? What are the breakthroughs? What special knowledge
do they have that would really help you? How to craft this
or that character? What about structure and pacing? These
are questions that you will begin to get clues about from
reading their work.
These favorite authors deepest insights and genius is
culminates in their work. Hand copying their work, word for
word, will instill many insights deep in your unconscious.
Do this every day.
Asking them questions as though they are there in the room
with you... just takes it to another level! Make it as real
and fabulous as you can. Prepare by reading about these
people, get to know them. Meanwhile make your question list
-- following the A-Z method in order to gather all the data
that you already possess in your unconscious. Then ask the
questions and answer them, as best as you think they might
answer.
Yes, of course it will feel like you are making it up.
You are!
Let their answers inspire your writing. If inspiration
strikes at any time in the process, go with it and let that
new idea pour onto the page.
